2022 Easter Orders and Hours

Get your Pre Orders in for the regions best Hot Cross Buns (Three Mills Bakery) – Orders need to be in by Tuesday the 12th. Pickup either Friday (15th) or Saturday (16th), and this year you can either order online or instore at the Thyme to Taset Cafe. While there, order your Three Mills bread, you don’t want to miss out.

These spiced buns are constantly rated the best in the region and packed with juicy fruit and topped with traditional choux crosses.

2021 Christmas Pre-Orders

Yes Christmas 2021 is almost upon us and as in years gone past we do pre-orders for a great selection of Christmas Hams, this year we have ramped things up and have added a Pre-order section to our online store. Here you will find hams (of various sizes) from some of our fantastic suppliers, but you will also find roast turkey breast, smoked salmon, terrines, pate, and more. A funny thing happened – We Expanded

Yes in the middle of Covid – July 2020 we opened a second shop next to our cafe. Now we have Thyme to Taste Cafe & Thyme to Taste Emporium. The original shop is now primarily a cafe, with a focus on great tasting local food, with a couple of rooms and our leafy courtyard available.

The Emporium is the premiere bottle shop in the region, specialising in local and boutique wineries, craft beer, and artisan spirits, we also have one of the best cheese selections in our specialty-built cool room. We also collect a small selection of other gourmet-based food items, once again from small producers.

Change of Hours this week & holidays

August Cheese Update #2

The big cheese with another great tasting cheese here @thymetotaste , L’Artisan Fermier is an Australian semi-hard, smear ripened cheese made in Victoria. Reminiscent of a classical Morbier with an ash layer through its centre. It’s buttery, slightly nutty and utterly delicious. Wonderful with a dry white.

August Cheese Update #1

The Big Cheese with a new cheese. From Italy, Pecorino Bigio, with Bigio meaning grey and ashy. This ewes milk cheese is matured for 5 months then placed under ash for another 3 months, the ash takes away any moisture and prevents mould. Originally the ash would have been provided from the bakers oven. Another titbit of information is that this was a similar style of cheese that Roman soldiers would have been given.
